End-of-Waste plays a core role in a circular economy, since it makes “closing the loop” possible. The present work aims at analysing the evolution of the Italian legal frame-work with regard to the End-of-waste criteria in order to highlight limits, problems and challenges of the national existing provisions, especially concerning the pur-poses of the new European Union Circular Economy Package.
