Start-ups play an essential role within a country's economy. They develop new ideas and technologies that can bring about a radical change within markets. It is therefore of paramount importance to analyse them, in order to identify and explore trends regarding start-ups. To this end, we analysed which sectors start-ups focus on in Italy, identifying regional differences. Finally, we define the trend in the creation of new start-ups and the mortality rate.
