The research aims to investigate the potential of current interactive graphic systems and new real-time fruition formulas of non-existent spaces through the experimentation of the technological devices currently in use for three-dimensional exploration, such as: Oculis Rift applied to the Unreal Engine 4.12RT rendering platform. The case study therefore proposes the interactive reconfiguration of the complex Piranesian spaces of the Prisons, where the eighteenth-century author, cleverly exploiting the perspective framing and the chiaroscuro, represents complex and surreal labyrinthine spaces, acts in their apparently disordered combination, offering a feeling of bewilderment and amazement.

Abstract
The research aims to investigate the potential of current interactive graphic systems and new real-time fruition formulas of non-existent spaces through the experimentation of the technological devices currently in use for three-dimensional exploration, such as: Oculis Rift applied to the Unreal Engine 4.12RT rendering platform. The case study therefore proposes the interactive reconfiguration of the complex Piranesian spaces of the Prisons, where the eighteenth-century author, cleverly exploiting the perspective framing and the chiaroscuro, represents complex and surreal labyrinthine spaces, acts in their apparently disordered combination, offering a feeling of bewilderment and amazement.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
